
Nick joined the Institute of Public Affairs in April 2026 after a long career in mainstream and online media, along with senior roles in the field of public relations, crisis communications, media training and speechwriting.
As a journalist with over 30 years’ experience, Nick began his media career at the age of 16 as a cadet newspaper journalist before transitioning to network television where he was engaged in reporting, Chief of Staff, senior field producer and executive roles.
He has travelled the world extensively, reporting live from events including the Bali bombings, royal weddings, the 2008 Beijing Olympic games, and other locations of global news interest.
Nick is at the forefront of the IPA’s drive towards being a digital-first organisation, helping create a framework to promote its’ work while informing and broadening the IPA member base via engaging, timely communications and content.
