The Institute of Public Affairs’ 2025 Annual Report showcases a year of exceptional growth and national influence in advancing the principles of freedom, responsibility, and opportunity.
In 2024–25, the IPA’s research and advocacy reached more Australians than ever before – through record levels of media coverage, social media engagement, and a growing national membership base united by a shared commitment to freedom.
This year’s report highlights the IPA’s achievements across our Five Pillars – Freedom, Security, Prosperity, Nationhood, and Self-Reliance – and the impact of our work in shaping public debate. From defending free speech and exposing the costs of net zero policies, to strengthening national security and restoring truth in education, the IPA continues to lead the national conversation.
This is only possible because of the generous support of many thousands of mainstream Australians who join us as Members and who make tax deductible donations to support our research. The IPA neither seeks nor receives funds from government.
Our financial position remains strong, with operating surpluses and continued growth in the IPA Endowment Fund, ensuring the sustainability of our mission for generations to come.
Through media and digital outreach, the IPA reaches more than one million Australians every month.
As we look ahead, our focus on Research, Reach, and Impact will continue to drive meaningful change – protecting the Australian way of life and advancing the freedoms that define our nation.
