This article from the Summer 2020 edition of the IPA Review is written by Manager of Online Content and Audio at the IPA, James Bolt.

Now that Joe Biden’s victory is all but assured, people who spent four years trying to undermine the results of the 2016 election now say that only evil conspiracy theorists criticise the American democratic process.

Many have marvelled at the incredible speed in which elites have switched from being sure an election can be rigged to being enraged by the very thought that someone, somewhere out there may think that. What could possibly explain this hypocrisy?

The answer, as always, is organisation and cooperation. Each member of the elite have recently been handed this talking point index for how to speak about elections to make sure the messaging is so consistent we are all gaslighted into thinking these are the thoughts of civilised people.
