On 22 August, Institute of Public Affairs’ Senior Fellow John Roskam speaks to Matthew Goodwin, author of a new book Values, Voice and Virtue: The New British Politics, which explores how the globalised ruling class has lost touch with the mainstream, whose values they despise.
Matthew Goodwin is also Professor of Politics at the University of Kent in the UK and is one of the world’s most original thinkers on the centre-right. He argues that modern political parties are dominated by members of the cultural elite who are out-of-touch with mainstream voters who are concerned about the massive cultural and societal changes sweeping through the West.
