‘In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual’ – Galileo.

You can stand up for freedom of intellectual and scientific inquiry on climate change by making a tax deductible donation below to fund the publication of a new book of research, Climate Change: The Facts 2020.

If you make a tax deductible donation of $400 or more you can choose to be recognised as a supporter of Climate Change: The Facts 2020 and have your name listed inside the book.

Freedom of thought, freedom of speech and freedom of intellectual and scientific inquiry are fundamental to a free society and to human flourishing.

It’s an unfortunate truth that our public institutions are becoming intolerant of debate on climate change.  That is why it is more important than ever to have the discussion.

Politicians keep on insisting ‘the science is settled’.  But as Dr Peter Ridd explains:

‘The history of science over thousands of years is littered with consensus theories that were wrong and sometimes even dangerous’

The IPA’s Climate Change: The Facts 2017 was an international best-seller, selling more than 30,000 Copies and was ranked #1 on Amazon’s list of environmental science books.  You can see what was in that book here.

Climate Change: The Facts 2020 is edited by Dr Jennifer Marohasy, Senior Fellow at the IPA.  Dr Marohasy’s research has revealed how the historical record of Australia’s temperature data has been manipulated by the Bureau of Meteorology and Climate Change: The Facts 2020 is arriving at a crucial time in the public debate and a copy will be sent to every Federal politician.

The authors include Dr Peter Ridd himself; Richard Lindzen, Professor Emeritus at Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Henrik Svensmark, Senior Researcher at the Danish National Space Institute; and Dr Roy Spencer, Principal Research Scientist at the University of Alabama, Huntsville.  The IPA’s Scott Hargreaves and Gideon Rozner will be writing about the significance of Dr Ridd’s fight for academic freedom following his historic court victory against James Cook University. In coming weeks we will be telling you about other great authors contributing to Climate Change: The Facts 2020.

Climate Change: The Facts 2020 will be published in early 2020 and will be available for purchase from bookshops, Amazon, and from the IPA.
