Taylah Ruiz-Pedley
Membership Assistant
Level 2, 410 Collins St, Melbourne 3000 VIC

Taylah Ruiz-Pedley is a Membership Assistant at the Institute of Public Affairs after joining the team in 2021. Her role focuses on assisting IPA’s 8,000+ members alongside the membership team, ensuring strong relationships are fostered and maintained with each member.

Taylah is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Finance and Economics. During her time at university, she became increasingly aware of the importance to be politically engaged after witnessing the concerning lack of ideas shared amongst students with different views. It became clear that those with different views often felt marginalised and unable to speak freely without judgement.

Since becoming more active in Australia’s political debates, she feels mostly strongly about freedom of speech and the Australian way of life, particularly after witnessing the detrimental effects of increased governance brought on by the COVID-19 response.
