Stuart Eaton is the Director of Strategic Communications and External Affairs at the IPA. As Engagement Manager, Stuart is responsible for interacting with figures in politics, the bureaucracy and business to achieve the changes that the IPA believe are necessary in these areas.
Stuart also manages a professional and talented communications team of staff who are responsible for promoting the IPAs research through all communications channels including daily interactions with the national media, printed publications, creative social media campaigns and other innovative audio / visual methods.
Prior to joining the IPA, Stuart worked for almost two decades in a variety of professional political roles, including as a Chief of Staff and in senior advisory positions to Federal Ministers and Shadow Ministers, State Liberal Party leaders in government and opposition, State Shadow Ministerís and on over a dozen election campaigns across Australia.
Stuart has previously worked in numerous portfolio areas, including infrastructure, environment, education, foreign affairs, community services and gaming; and was also employed as a lobbyist at a major bipartisan Australian firm.
Stuart has studied business and tourism at Victoria University and on most weekends in winter can be found at the football cheering on his beloved Geelong Football Club.
