Dr Sherry Sufi was a Senior Fellow at the IPA’s Centre for the Australian Way of Life.

Sherry is a Western Australian author, columnist, and political commentator. He is interested in Australian history, world history, the clash of civilisation hypothesis, geopolitics and national defence. He has written and spoken in defence of democratic values, civil liberties and freedom of speech.

Sherry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, a Diploma of Information Systems, a Master of Arts in Politics and International Studies, a Master of History, and a Doctor of Philosophy for which he received an award for outstanding research. His PhD thesis was on language and nationalism.

Sherry has appeared on Sky News Australia and 2GB radio. His articles have been published in The AustralianThe West AustralianThe Daily Telegraph, Fairfax media, PerthNow, The SpectatorThe Jerusalem Post, and The Times of Israel.

Sherry fluently speaks, reads, and writes multiple languages. In 2018, he was the recipient of the Berger Fellowship award to visit Israel on a study tour through the New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies.
