Sebastian Reinehr is a Researcher with the Institute of Public Affairs’ Legal Rights Project.

He has previously undertaken policy work for John Pesutto MLA, the Victorian Shadow Attorney General and Member for Hawthorn. Outside of politics, Sebastian has extensive experience as a Client Relationship Manager, previously working at a major Melbourne-based Digital Strategy firm.

Sebastian holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, with majors in Politics and International Studies and Italian. He is currently completing a postgraduate Juris Doctor in law, also at the University of Melbourne.

Throughout his studies, he resided at Newman College, and worked as a Research Assistant to a Professor of Criminal Law. He also served as a Students’ Councillor.

Passionate about property rights, freedom of speech and civil liberties, Sebastian views the law as a means of empowering individuals. He is a strong advocate for free trade and free markets.
