Joanna is the Director of Finance at the Institute of Public Affairs. Joanna is responsible for ensuring sound financial management practices and procedures across the organisation, quality financial reporting to the Executive and Board, and contributing to the strategic direction and future growth of the IPA.
Prior to joining the IPA in 2020, Joanna was Finance Manager for a privately held flooring business and has previously worked in senior finance roles for a range of leisure, manufacturing, and regulatory organisations.
A qualified Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Joanna holds a Master of Business Administration (Deakin) and Bachelor of Business, Accounting (Swinburne).
Joanna is also a qualified Interior Designer, achieving her Professional Diploma of Interior Design at the National Design Academy while living in London , then establishing and operating her own interior design business for seven years on her return to Melbourne, before returning to her accounting and finance career. Joanna’s interior design projects and advice have been featured in Home Beautiful, Domain, Home, House & Garden, The Age and The Herald-Sun.
