Claire Peter-Budge

Office Administrator

Claire works as the IPA’s Office Administrator assisting and liaising across the departments, aiding with administration, communication as well as initiating and documenting IPA tasks. When contacting the IPA, Claire will be there to greet you. As the first point of contact of the IPA, Claire’s main priority is making that first impression count in upholding the IPA’s values.

Prior to joining the IPA, Claire worked in a specialist medical practice. Claire has also volunteered with the Centre of Multicultural Youth, Sacred Heart Mission, The Brotherhood of St Laurence and St Kilda Gatehouse. Her roles have included youth mentorship, English tutor, charity shop assistant and fundraising assistance.

Claire is a graduate of Swinburne University of Technology with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and of Monash University with a Master’s in International Relations and Journalism. Her main interests are modern history and media culture, particularly in how they influence and impact social narratives.

In her free time, Claire enjoys classic cinema from the Golden Age Hollywood to Australian New Wave, visiting museums and art galleries, reading history and is an avid postcard collector which is a source of inspiration for planning her next trip.
