Professor Mark Bauerlein is a Professor of English at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where he has taught since 1989.

He is Senior Editor of the journal First Things and has served as Director of Research on the National Endowment for the Arts.

His books include The Pragmatic Mind: Explorations in the Psychology of Belief, and The Dumbest Generation: How the Digital Age Stupefies Young Americans and Jeopardizes Our Future. His essays and articles have appeared in Commentary, The Claremont Review of Books, New Criterion, The Wall Street Journal, and The Chronicle of Higher Education.
